I LOVED everything about this restaurant! The place is so cozy! The food is super delish, tastes like my mom was in the kitchen. My favorite part of my experience...the service! Christina was a delight. Made me a delicious drink and was such a sweet and friendly person! Quinn was amazing, so personable and attentive! We are definately going back!

This is one of our go-to spots for brunch. Over the years, the quality of both food and drinks has consistently stayed top-notch. On our recent visit, the French toast was just as great as always. We also tried the Brussels sprout salad for the first time, but it was surprisingly underwhelming. The sprouts were a bit too raw, and the large leaves made it a serious chew--you'd need strong jaws to get through the whole plate. Nevertheless, we still had a good time and we were still revisited.

So I am back n NYC.. Went to dinner with the family and was introduced to this amazing, upper west side , gem. The ambiance was comfortable and exquisite all at the same time. The indoor fireplace was perfect on a cold day. But the food was fresh and flavorful. I started with the charred eggplant dip. It is an beautiful combo of charred eggplant crushed pistachio, feta, lemon and tahini. Served with artisan bread. Sooo good. Then for my main. I had the mushroom cavatelli pasta. The oyster mushrooms were cooked to perfection.and the light shallot cream sauce with green peas just Brought everything together. It was filling and definitely shareable. Friend of a Farmer is a definite keeper on my rotation.

Truly a beautiful restaurant. The ambiance itself is enough to go again. Robust drink menu, and big enough dinner menu. On the more expensive side but I've seen higher prices for lower quality. Our waiter was always there when we needed her. Onto food: it was all good, especially the chicken pot pie they're famous for. But, everything except the pie came out cold? That was so odd. I should've said something, that's on me. Don't know if it'll happen to you if you go. I'd give it a try.

Just had dinner at FofaF on the UWS with my wife and daughter. My wife had the chicken pot pie, my daughter had the shepherd's pie, and I had the Terry Alan chicken. We also split a cheddar biscuit. The food was very consistent. All good, none great. The crust on the pot pie did not appear to have any butter, but vegetable shortening. Probably healthier but less flavor. The shepherd's pie filling was well seasoned. The potato crust was a bit bland. The Terry Alan chicken had layers - bread, chicken, apples. over whipped potatoes. Very well flavored. The service was very good and the ambiance is really quite pleasant. A nice neighborhood spot.

I've dined here twice so far. First time was for a weekend brunch. They don't take reservations so we were lucky to snag two seats at the bar without having to wait. I ordered the boomer special which comes with eggs, your choice of pancakes, and your choice of meat. Everything I would want at breakfast! Second time here was for a week day breakfast. Plenty of places to sit this time. I got to see more of the restaurant. We sat in the back room which is so much brighter than the front of the restaurant. I was more limited for what I could eat on this visit and went with the French toast. Loved every bite of it; there was nothing left when I was done! Definitely a good spot for breakfast/brunch!

Delightful decor and ambiance, plus good food and healthy portions Had 6 of us there for brunch and everyone loved it. We sat next to the fireplace, had the bread service and we all got coffee (French press pot is the move) and different entrees. Had a lot of leftovers. Probably could have ordered 4 or 5 entrees. They give you corn bread and the bread service is awesome. Price wasn't bad $200 plus tip for all 6 of us? Good size table, not hemmed in, pretty quiet so we all could talk

A super tasty brunch, though a bit over priced. I was able to walk in as a group of 3 around 10a and we were seated without an issue. Our food came quickly and even though they were in the throws of brunch service, the staff was helpful and didn't rush us out (to a point)

Comfort food in a cozy setting! The food was perfectly cooked, warm but not too hot to eat. The meal started with some free cornbread topped with apples. So delicious! Then we got the mushroom special, they were tender and flavorful. Our main courses had mouthwatering chicken, not dry at all. The pot pie crust melted in your mouth. The chicken over lemon bread was such an interesting mix of flavors and textures that I was glad that I tried. The inside is so cozy and dimly lit at night, perfect for a date. I would come back here to grab a drink at the bar too. The staff was accommodating, sweet, and gave us the perfect amount of attention checking in with us without being overbearing.
